Brainerd City Council President Gary Scheeler has called a special meeting of the city council to discuss the issuance of a liquor license.
The meeting, 8 a.m. Thursday at the Brainerd City Hall council chambers, will be to discuss the issuance of a club on-sale license and Sunday license to the Brainerd Elks Lodge No. 615, 215 S. Ninth St., for the period of Sept. 3 through June 30, 2016.
