Brainerd fire crews respond to multiple calls

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to several calls over the weekend, with three calls Friday, July 19.

Firefighters were Called at 12:59 p.m. Friday to Target, 14546 Dellwood Drive, Baxter, for a fire alarm. Upon investigation, it was determined to be a false alarm. At 4:06 p.m., there was a call of a tree on a power line on fire at the intersection of Andrew Street and Business Highway 371. No fire was observed and firefighters provided standby assistance for the power company. At 6:21 p.m., firefighters were called to the Berrywood Apartments, 13281 Berrywood Drive, Baxter, for a fire alarm. Upon investigation, it was determined to be caused by burned food. Firefighters were called at 7:54 a.m. Saturday to a fire alarm on the 800 block of Northeast Fourth Avenue, which also was caused by burned food.

At 3:56 p.m. Sunday, firefighters were called to a propane tank fire on the 17000 block of Gullview Trail, which they extinguished.
