Brainerd fire crews respond to several alarms

Calls ranged from a lawn tractor on fire to providing mutual aid for a boat fire.

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to several calls over the weekend, May 22-23.


Firefighters were:

  • Called at 12:54 a.m. to a fire alarm at Diamond Willow Assisted Living,14398 Grand Oaks Drive, but were canceled en route.

  • Called at 6:35 p.m. to a lawn tractor fire on the 15000 block of Garrett Lane. The fire did not threaten any structures and firefighters extinguished it.

  • Called at 6:58 p.m. to provide mutual aid for the Crosslake Fire Department for a boat fire.


Firefighters were:


  • Called at 8:44 a.m. to a fire alarm on the 11000 block of Easy Street, but were canceled en route.

  • Called at 9:27 a.m. to a lawnmower fire on the 6000 block of Excelsior Road near a structure. Firefighters extinguished the fire and made sure the fire did not spread anywhere else.
