The Brainerd Fire Department responded to several calls since Thursday, July 25.
Thursday: Firefighters were called at 2:43 p.m. to a carbon monoxide alarm on the 14000 block of Eide Road. Upon investigation, it was determined to be a maintenance issue.
Friday: No calls.
Saturday: Three calls, with the first one at 1:39 a.m. where firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm at a residence on the 800 block of Rosewood Street in Brainerd. Fire crews found a faulty detector. At 11:03 a.m., there was a fire alarm at the Days Inn in Baxter. The fire department was canceled by the alarm company prior to arrival. At 6:23 p.m., there was a fire alarm sounding at the Baymont Inn and Suites in Baxter. The fire department was canceled by the alarm company prior to arrival.
Sunday: No calls.
Monday: Two calls, with the first call at 8:37 a.m. for a possible car fire in the area of the 14500 block of Dellwood Drive in Baxter. The fire department determined the vehicle was steaming from antifreeze spilled on the hot engine. At 1:02 p.m., firefighters were called to a possible electric fire on the 1200 block of Maple Street in Brainerd. The fire department investigated and found a small, burned piece of cardboard in the residence.
