Brainerd Fire Department investigates carbon monoxide alarm

Calls included ones to the Baxter hotel, a residence and an assisted living facility.

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to two calls where fire crews were canceled en route and one call that was unfounded.

Firefighters were called at 7:38 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, to a fire alarm at the Baymont Inn and Suites in Baxter, and were canceled en route. Later that day at 8:59 p.m., firefighters responded to the 1000 block of South Eighth Street for a carbon monoxide alarm. Upon investigation, it was determined to be unfounded.

There were no calls Sunday and then at 11:38 a.m. Monday, a fire alarm was reported at Diamond Willow Assisted Living, 14396 Grand Oaks Drive, Baxter, and firefighters were canceled en route.
