The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a car fire at noon Tuesday on the 200 block of Gillis Avenue. The fire was out upon arrival. It was reported that there was a hot brake issue.
Firefighters responded to three calls Monday. The first call was at 3:33 p.m. to a fire alarm on the 1900 block of South Seventh Street. Firefighters were canceled en route. At 7 p.m., firefighters investigated a burning complaint on the 800 block of 12th Avenue Northeast.
Then at 9:42 p.m., firefighters were called to Cypress Drive and College Drive in Baxter to a possible vehicle crash, but were canceled en route. Baxter police reported that a vehicle crashed into a light pole. No injuries were reported.
