Brainerd fire responds to calls

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a variety of calls over the weekend, including a report at 8:13 p.m. Sunday of a fire under the College Street Bridge at Kiwanis Park, 1101 E. River Road. Firefighters extinguished the fire.

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a variety of calls over the weekend, including a report at 8:13 p.m. Sunday of a fire under the College Street Bridge at Kiwanis Park, 1101 E. River Road. Firefighters extinguished the fire.

Also on Sunday, at 3 p.m., firefighters were called to a structure fire on Three Mile Road and Highway 18. Firefighters were canceled en route by law enforcement, as it was only a brush fire.

At 4:45 p.m. Saturday, firefighters were called to Best Buy, 14555 Edgewood Drive, for a report of gas leaking from a vehicle. Firefighters absorbed the gas on the ground.
