The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a garage fire at 5:40 a.m. Wednesday on Brandon Way and Quail Street in Barrows. Firefighters extinguished the fire.
Firefighters also were called at 1:08 p.m. Tuesday to Northern Lights Apartments, 511 D St., for a fire alarm. Firefighters determined the alarm to be a maintenance issue.
