The Brainerd Fire Department had a busy Monday with four calls.
The first call was at 12:20 p.m. of a gas smell on the 100 block of Laurel Street. Firefighters investigated and determined the call was unfounded. Then at 1:47 p.m., firefighters responded to Waste Partners, 7968 Industrial Park Road, for a fire alarm, which was determined to be an unintentional activation.
At 3:41 p.m., fire crews responded to the Harmony House, 218 SW Ninth St., for a fire alarm, which was determined to be caused by burned food. The last call was at 6:39 p.m. to a report of smoke coming from the railroad tracks behind Viking Harley-Davidson, 7915 State Highway 210. Firefighters extinguished two railroad ties.
On Tuesday, at 10:33 a.m., firefighters were called to the Holiday Inn Express, 15739 Audubon Way, for a fire alarm. It was determined to be a manual pull station.
