Brainerd firefighters have busy Sunday

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to five calls Sunday.

The first call was at 2:57 a.m. on the 200 block of North Seventh Street for a fire alarm.

Firefighters then were called at 7:19 a.m. to a structure fire on the 10000 block of Heron Street in Barrows. The manufactured home was destroyed and a man is being assisted by the American Red Cross.

Firefighters then responded to a call at 8:20 a.m. on the 800 block of I Street for a fire alarm. Upon investigation, the call was unfounded. At 9:23 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire alarm on the 800 block of Kingwood Street.

The last call was at 8:12 p.m. to a vehicle fire at Menards, 15236 Dellwood Drive in Baxter. Firefighters investigated and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
