The Brainerd Fire Department answered multiple calls occurring with an hour the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 20.
The first two calls were at 9:33 a.m. and 9:58 a.m. to Grizzly's Wood-Fired Grill and Bar, 15159 Edgewood Drive N., Baxter, for a fire alarm. Firefighters learned the crews at the restaurant were doing maintenance work, the police scanner reported.
Firefighters were called at 10:26 a.m. to Central Lakes College, 501 W. College Drive, for a report of a gas odor. Students and staff were evacuated and upon investigation, the call was determined to be unfounded.
A minute later, firefighters were called to a fire alarm at Essentia Health St. Joseph's Medical Center, 523 N. Third St. Firefighters responded and learned the fire alarm was set off because of burned toast.
