The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a variety of calls recently.
Sept. 3:
Called at 8:48 a.m. to Nisswa Sanitation, 14099 Highway 210, for a fire alarm. Upon investigation, it was determined to be caused by construction.
Called at 8:50 a.m. to the 14000 block of Edgewood Drive for a report of a gas line cut. It was determined the gas line was cut by construction crews. Firefighters provided standby assistance for the utility company.
Called at 10:03 p.m. to the Mill Avenue area for a report of a gas smell. Firefighters provided standby assistance until CenterPoint Energy arrived on scene.
Friday, Sept. 4:
Called at 11:45 a.m. to Radtke Services LLC, 13176 Highway 25, for a fire alarm. Firefighters were canceled en route as the alarm was due to burned food.
Called at 7:50 p.m. to a fire alarm on the 9800 block of Leisure Lane. Firefighters were canceled en route as the alarm was due to burned food.

Called at 1:30 p.m. to assist in a vehicle crash at the intersection of Golf Course Drive and Clearwater Road in Baxter.
Tuesday:
Called at 2:21 p.m. to assist the Brainerd Police Department for a three-vehicle crash on the 700 block of Southwest Fourth Street.
Called at 3:05 p.m. to the area of 10th Avenue Northeast and O Street for a report of a residential gas leak. Upon investigation, it was determined the gas line was hit by a construction crew. Firefighters provided standby assistance for the utility company.
Called at 5:25 p.m. to a report of a gas smell on the 14000 block of Eide Road. Upon investigation, it was determined to be unfounded.
