Eight-year-old Brainerd resident Raelianna Battle was selected to represent the Midwest in the national competition for the title of America's Little Miss.
America's Little Miss Organization is a non-glitz pageant that encourages girls to showcase their personalities from within.
In July, Battle will join other delegates from across America in Orlando, Fla., to compete in the competition in on-stage questions and introduction as well as evening gown and modeling competitions.
According to the news release, the winner will receive many prizes including opportunities for a full year as a role model and spokesperson.
