"American Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association comes to Minnesota" was the theme of the 52nd annual Minnesota Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association conference April 5-6 at Cragun's Resort on Gull Lake.
Dale Rapovich and Greg Swenson, teachers from the drivers education program in the Brainerd School District, were in attendance.
The program began with a presentation titled "ADTSEA 3.0 Curriculum," with each participating school receiving a copy of latest curriculum materials.
Robin Border and Rich Hanson, of the ADTSEA, led training sessions, while Dustin Lacina and Scot Koester, of the Department of Public Safety, answered questions to help teachers better prepare students to pass state exams.
Other topics during the conference included discussion on drugs, mental illness and violence.
