Brainerd library hosts Zoom class on miniature gardens

“Miniature Gardens” will be presented by Master Gardener Jennifer Knutson at noon March 9 via Zoom.

According to a news release, the class description is as follows: “Enter the magical world of miniature gardens! Ideas will be presented on how to design a terrarium, dish garden, and outdoor miniature garden. Create a charming, whimsical miniature landscape using dwarf plants and accessories. Creative ideas on how to accessorize with items found on hand will be presented.”

Free master gardener classes through the University of Minnesota Extension Crow Wing County master gardeners will take place through December. Monthly presentations facilitated by certified U of M Extension Crow Wing County master gardeners will discuss subjects ranging from garden tools to gourds.

Master gardeners are University of Minnesota-trained volunteers whose job is to educate the public about a variety of horticulture subjects. The master gardener program educational effort is designed to enhance the public’s quality of life and to promote good stewardship of the environment.
