Brainerd looks to fill commission vacancies

Several positions are open on various Brainerd commissions and committees.

The city is in search of residents to fill the following vacancies. All terms expire Dec. 31 of the year specified:

• Cable TV advisory committee: Two terms expiring 2021.

• Charter commission: One term expiring 2021, one term expiring 2022.

• Transportation advisory committee: One term expiring 2019, one term expiring 2020.

• Rental dwelling board of appeals: One tenant representative and one general public representative, both expiring 2020.

• Planning commission: Two terms expiring 2021.

Cable TV and transportation advisory committee members must live in the city of Brainerd. Charter and planning commission members must either live in the city or have an ownership interest in a business or other property in Brainerd.
