Brainerd Mayor Ed Menk has proclaimed April 10-16 to be National Volunteer Recognition Week in the city of Brainerd.
A resolution establishing the week outlines the benefits of volunteerism in a community.
"By volunteering and recognizing those who serve, we can come together to make a difference," the resolution reads.
