The Brainerd and Pequot Lakes school districts will come together for a night of parent professional development from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at the Pequot Lakes gym, 30805 Olson St., Pequot Lakes.
The goal of this joint effort is to focus on empowering children and dissolving the stigma associated with mental health and mental illness in the lakes area. Motivational speaker Joe Beckman, who has delivered his message of hope, self-love and resiliency at more than 150 schools, will deliver an uplifting presentation during the event. He will also address the student bodies in both the Brainerd and Pequot Lakes school districts earlier in the day.
All are invited to attend this free event.
