The Brainerd Public Schools Foundation announced the 2019 general scholarship application is still open for Brainerd Public Schools seniors to apply.
The foundation hosts over 80 different scholarship funds and plans to award over $100,000 again this year.
The foundation's mission is to enhance opportunities for quality academics, activities, arts and athletics, or the 4As, by awarding annual grants and scholarships. Since 1987, Brainerd Public Schools Foundation has awarded over $1 million in scholarships to graduating Brainerd High School seniors. Since 1996, the foundation has made over $200,000 in grants available to teachers for special projects with great impact on student learning. These grants are funded through general donations, Brainerd Public Schools staff campaign donations, the Big Event and other event proceeds, and five specifically endowed funds hosted by the foundation.
The general scholarship application will close 11:59 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15. Brainerd Public Schools seniors are encouraged to apply. Visit www.bpsf.org for the application link or visit with Jenny Barnhart in the Student Success Center at BHS.
