Brainerd School District to host public sessions on referendum

Blueprint 181, the comprehensive long-range proposal to address the facility needs of Brainerd Public Schools, will be presented to voters as three ballot questions on a special election scheduled April 10, with early voting beginning Feb. 23.

Blueprint 181, the comprehensive long-range proposal to address the facility needs of Brainerd Public Schools, will be presented to voters as three ballot questions on a special election scheduled April 10, with early voting beginning Feb. 23.

As part of the district's effort to inform residents of the three-question proposal, public information sessions open to all are being planned throughout the school district.

Blueprint 181 plan details will be presented and there will be time for questions and answers. The public is invited to attend any and all of the following information sessions:

• Jan. 25, 6:30 p.m., Lowell Elementary Gym,

• Jan. 29, 6:30 p.m., Brainerd High School North Campus Cafeteria,

• Feb. 1, 6:30 p.m., Garfield Elementary Gym,

• Feb. 5, 6:30 p.m., Riverside Elementary Cafeteria,

• Feb. 6, 6:30 p.m., Washington Educational Services Building, Room 200,

• Feb. 12, 9 a.m., Brainerd Public Library,

• Feb. 13, 6:30 p.m., Forestview Middle School Cafetorium,

• Feb. 20, 1 p.m., Brainerd Public Library,

• Feb. 22, 4 p.m., Central Lakes College Cafeteria,

Additional public information sessions are scheduled throughout the day and around the community in the weeks leading up to the special election on April 10. These dates, as well as additional information about the Blueprint 181 plan and process, can be found at blueprint181.org.
