Brainerd Public Schools students can come to their schools any time from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, March 19-20, to pick up any personal belongings.
Parents and students should enter through the main entrance at each school, except for Forestview Middle School. Forestview families should use the community education entrance and can come until 8 p.m. either day, in alignment with Chromebook pickups.
Staff of the Brainerd Learning Center and Lincoln Education Center will contact students individually with information.
High school students can come to both north and south campuses.
BHS Principal Andrea Rusk emailed families Wednesday stating, “Our BHS Staff is working hard to prepare educational programming through ‘Distance Learning’ if needed starting on Monday, March 30. More information will be shared at a later date regarding ‘Distance Learning,’ again, if needed. Students may access their academic locker, gym locker and/or music rooms to retrieve items. To support a safe environment students will not be allowed to loiter or visit with staff during this time.

“We ask students to access the building using the main entrance to sign in and out with a BHS staff member. The main entrance at BHS North Campus is on South Fifth Street. The main entrance at South Campus is on Quince Street, south of the circle median. All other entrances will be locked and not able to be used during this school closure time.
“We appreciate your support and understanding at this time; more information will follow in regard to academic programming resuming on Monday, March 30.”
