The warming houses at Brainerd city skating rinks will remain closed Tuesday, Dec. 28.
The closures affect warming houses at Gregory, Bane and Memorial parks, and rinks will be reflooded, the city reported in a news release.
“We lost most of our ice this past weekend due to a variety of reasons, so on top of removing the 12” of snowfall, we will need to commence re-flooding the rinks,” the release stated. “We are hopeful we will have the rinks skateable and ready to go on December 29th.”
Another possible 5 inches of snow is on the way Tuesday as part of a second winter storm expected to affect the region.
