Brainerd woman suffers injury in 2-vehicle crash

A two-vehicle crash on Highway 25 east of Brainerd left one driver with injuries that are not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Nicole Ellen Aamodt, 32, of Brainerd, was northbound on the highway in a 2008 Acura MDX at about 5:15 p.m. Saturday, July 27, in Oak Lawn Township.

Mariah Lynn Tholl, 25, of Brainerd, was southbound on the highway in a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado and attempted to make a left turn when she was struck by Aamodt's vehicle.

Aamodt was wearing a seat belt and the vehicle’s airbag was deployed before she was taken to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center. Tholl was not injured; she wore a seat belt but her vehicle’s airbag did not deploy.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office and the Brainerd Fire Department/emergency medical services assisted at the crash site.
