CROSSLAKE-The Crosslake Chautauqua program for July will focus on the facts and myths surrounding Breezy Point Resort.
The free program will be 1:30-3:30 p.m. July 13 at the Crosslake Community Center, 14126 Daggett Pine Road.
Dave Gravdahl and George Rasmusson will present the story of the evolution of Breezy Point Resort, from the Roaring '20s to the present. Gravdahl and Rasmusson will use vintage photos and numerous anecdotes to chronicle the true story and to dispel the myths.
Their narrative will provide a glimpse of the resort's flamboyant founder, Captain Billy Fawcett, and some of the other luminaries who played a role in developing one of the most vibrant resorts in the Midwest, a news release stated.
