BREEZY POINT — The city of Breezy Point and its police department is sponsoring a “Golf Cart Rodeo” at 3 p.m. June 19 at Breezy Point City Hall.

The event is open to anyone who wishes to attend. The city will present safety tips and is hosting a live road course for ages 15 and older to work on their skills when operating a golf cart. The road course is for anyone who owns their own golf cart, as required by the city ordinance.

Breezy Point has allowed the use of golf carts on city streets for more than three decades. In 2019, the Crow Wing County Board approved the use of golf carts on its county roads in Breezy Point.

Vendors also will be on hand selling golf cart cart equipment and safety products.

This is the first ever Golf Cart Rodeo and the city hopes to continue the event into the future.
