Broadside crash causes serious injury

A broadside crash Wednesday on Highway 371 at Green Gables Road resulted in serious injury.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported the crash occurred about 3:30 p.m. The names of the people involved in the crash were not yet released Wednesday night.

According to the crash report, a Buick LeSabre was southbound on Highway 371 when a Buick Regal turned from Green Gables Road to go northbound on Highway 371. The Regal was broadsided by the LeSabre. The LeSabre came to rest in the middle of the southbound lanes and the Regal went into the median ditch.

At least one person involved in the crash was airlifted from the scene by North Memorial Air Care. North Memorial Ambulance was also on scene.

The state patrol was assisted at the crash scene by the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office, the Nisswa Police Department and the Brainerd Fire Department.
