Broadside crash injures passenger

FORESTON-A passenger was injured in a two-vehicle broadside crash at 7:05 p.m. Sunday on Highway 23 and First Street North in Foreston.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported a Chevrolet Silverado was westbound and a Buick Lucerne was eastbound on Highway 23, when the Chevrolet turned left to go south on First Street and was struck by the Buick.

Daniel S. Gross, 42, Foreston, the driver of the Chevrolet, and Bret E. Iverson, 47, St. Cloud, the driver of the Buick, had no apparent injuries. Iverson's passenger, Zachary J. Haaf, 64, St. Cloud, was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to St. Cloud Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
