BAXTER-Law enforcement was out in force Wednesday morning near Forestview Middle School in Baxter looking for a burglary suspect.
Baxter Assistant Police Chief Russ Wicklund said there was a burglary and thefts from vehicles Tuesday overnight into early Monday morning on Knollwood Drive and Mountain Ash. Wicklund said officers were tracking the suspect early this morning and set up a perimeter. He said a suspect has been identified, but has not yet been located or arrested.
Wicklund said police do not believe the public is in any danger.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office, the Brainerd Police Department and Minnesota State Patrol assisted Baxter with the search.
