The Brainerd Fire Department responded to several calls over the weekend — mostly caused by people cooking.
Firefighters responded to fire alarms — at 7:39 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Parkway Apartments, 1204 Campus Drive W.; at 7:04 p.m. Sunday on the 700 block of South Ninth Street; and 11:29 a.m. Monday at Lutheran Church Minnesota North District Office, 7264 Fairview Road, Baxter — all relating to burned food or cooking incidents.
Firefighters were called to a report of a gas smell at 6:42 p.m. Friday on the 500 block of North Ninth Street, which was determined to be unfounded.
