Burned food sets off fire alarms

Burned food was the culprit in two Brainerd Fire Department alarms this week.

Firefighters were called at 5:19 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, to a residence on the 5800 block of Barbeau Road and at 6:34 a.m. Wednesday to the Parkway Apartments, 1204 W. Campus Drive. The fire alarms were set off by burned food.

Firefighters also responded to two calls investigated to be maintenance issues. Fire crews responded to the maintenance calls at 4:27 p.m. Tuesday on the 14000 block of Par Drive for a fire alarm and at 9:08 a.m. Thursday to the Brainerd High School.
