Burning brush sends out firefighters

The Brainerd Fire Department and Baxter Police Department responded to a call at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday to a fire at a residence on the 14000 block of Welton Road in Baxter. The owner was conducting a brush burn on snow covered ground legally. The owner was told he needed to report burns to the fire department, Baxter police said.
