MILACA -- A collision between a 2000 Chevy Silverado and a 1983 Volkswagen bus at 1:07 p.m. Sunday, July 7, on Highway 23, northeast of Milaca in Mille Lacs County resulted in minor injuries.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported the Silverado, driven by a 16-year-old boy who was not identified, was heading north on 85th Avenue and attempting to take a left onto Highway 23 when a Volkswagen bus struck the truck in the intersection. The bus was driven by Adam J. King, 38, North Branch, who was heading east on Highway 23 at the time of the collision.
King and his passenger, Melissa M. King, 38, North Branch, had minor injuries and were transported to a hospital in Cambridge. The 16-year-old was not injured.
