The Brainerd Fire Department responded to three calls Saturday and all were within a half-hour from one another.
At 9:29 p.m., the department received a report of a possible chimney fire on the 1600 block of County Road 25. Upon arrival, firefighters did find smoke and assisted the homeowner with ventilating the house. A fire official reported the cause appeared to be an issue with a stove and the scene was cleared by 9:56 p.m.
At 9:40 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire alarm call at Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 15739 Audubon Way. A backup fire engine was diverted from the first call to respond, but was cancelled en route once it was determined to be a false alarm.
A third call came into the department at 9:57 p.m., of a possible electrical fire on the 300 block of South Sixth Street. The owner of the property reported smoke, although it was no longer smoky when crews arrived and firefighters were unable to determine the source. The scene was cleared by 10:20 p.m.

At 5:35 p.m. Sunday, the Brainerd Fire Department also responded to a possible carbon monoxide leak on the 2500 block of Crestview Lane. The resident said they were feeling ill, according to a fire official, and wanted to rule out carbon monoxide as a cause.
The firefighter who responded determined there was no presence of carbon monoxide at the residence and cleared the scene by 5:58 p.m.
