Crosby-Ironton School District is opening its doors for the first in a series of tours of the school district.

Superintendent Jamie Skjeveland will lead the patron tours for members of the public who have preregistered for the tours. The first tour starts at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 17. Participants are asked to arrive between 8:15-8:30 a.m. at the superintendent's office.

The tours are designed for any member of the public to get a look at what's happening in the school district.

Breakfast will be provided to participants prior to an hourlong tour of the high school building. During the tour, participants will visit classrooms while the class is in session. After the tour is done at the high school, participants will be transported to the elementary school for another tour that will last about an hour. After the elementary school tour, participants will be transported back to the high school.

The deadline to preregister for the patron tour is Thursday. The minimum number of participants for the tour is four, while the maximum number is eight. For more information or to preregister, contact community education director Dale Sova at 218-545-8822.
