Cabin burns to the ground

MENAHGA — The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office was called at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, to a possible building fire on the 26000 block of Hubbard Line Road, in Huntersville Township, east of Menahga.

The first responding unit arrived on scene eight minutes after the initial call to find the building, a cabin, was almost completely burned to the ground. The cabin was unoccupied and no one had been there in several weeks, the sheriff's office reported.

The Menahga and Sebeka fire departments extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol and Tri-County Ambulance.
