The Camp Ripley Winter Warrior Sled Dog Race, scheduled for Feb. 14-15, has been canceled. There is insufficient snow cover to hold the event and long range weather forecasts do not look promising for enough additional snow.
This event is part of the North Star Sled Dog Club's race circuit, which hopes for good conditions for 2016, when Camp Ripley will be the venue for the Winter Warrior Midwest Championship.
