HACKENSACK — A 60-year-old Walker woman was injured Monday, April 12, when the car she was driving crashed north of Hackensack in Cass County.
The Minnesota State Patrol was called at 1:06 p.m. to the crash on Highway 371 at Long Bay Road in Birch Lake Township. A Chevrolet Malibu was travelling north on Highway 371 when it drove off the road to the left, struck an approach and overturned onto its side. The road conditions were wet at the time of the crash, the state patrol reported.
The driver, Mary E. Schmidtke, was transported to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Hackensack Fire Department and First Responders and Cass County Sheriff’s Office assisted the state patrol at the scene.
