The Cass County Health, Human and Veterans Services-Public Health division announced the LiveHealthy Cass County community health surveys are being sent to residents.
Cass County wants to gather information that can help public health agencies, hospitals and clinics better understand and meet the needs of county residents, a news release stated.
The Minnesota Department of Health provides funding for communities through the Statewide Health Improvement Program to gather local health survey data that will be used to prioritize how Cass County can make communities healthier.
"Being able to identify key community health survey data on a local level will help inform of how we can increase health equity for all resident in Cass County," said Jamie Richter, director of public health nursing, in the release. "We thank everyone in advance for their participation."
Questions will focus on health care access, chronic illness, physical activity, nutrition, tobacco use, alcohol use and other areas. The survey allows the public health department an opportunity to identify key areas of concerns about issues in Cass County. Participation is voluntary and all answers are confidential.
