The Brainerd Lakes Chamber of Commerce is warning its members of a scam being perpetrated on a local school.
In an email Tuesday, July 23, the chamber advised its members of an organization called Kids First Community soliciting for renewal of dues. The organization claims it’s supported by Riverside Elementary School in Brainerd but the chamber warned this phone call is a scam.
“Riverside Elementary is NOT affiliated with Kids First Community and have repeatedly asked their school be removed from this solicitation,” the email stated.
