Two Central Lakes College students were awarded $1,000 scholarships sponsored by the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association Foundation.

Jodi Liberty, a horticulture and sustainable greenhouse production student from Brainerd, and Charleer Kehoe, a horticulture student from Bemidji, received the scholarships.

The landscape association's scholarship program recognizes superior students enrolled in horticulture or landscape studies programs at several area colleges and universities. The awards are designed by the association and its member companies to help grow future leaders in the nursery and landscape industry.

The Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association is the state's largest green industry trade association with more than 1,200 member companies.
