Central Lakes College is hosting an Indoor Food Production workshop from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, in the Chalberg Theatre at CLC's Brainerd campus.
Registration is from 8:30-9 a.m. The workshop is free for students and $10 for others.
The workshop will focusing on learning the fundamentals of raising food indoors, whether for fun or profit, using the sustainable techniques of aquaponics, hydroponics and aeroponics.
Speakers include aquaculture business owners, University of Minnesota educators and Central Lakes College horticulture faculty. Participate in presentations and panel discussions, take a tour of the CLC greenhouses where aquaculture and hydroponics systems are up and running, visit with vendors and network with other indoor food enthusiasts.
