Central Lakes College welding student Trevor Brausen recently placed second in the SkillsUSA state competition last week in Anoka.

Brausen, of Pierz, competed in six different categories. In each category, students had 40 minutes to fabricate a weldment from a blueprint. Each weldment used a different welding process.

"I am very proud of Trevor and his performance at SkillsUSA," said David Otto, CLC welding instructor, in a release.
