Brainerd Lakers United for the Environment will have a climate justice vigil 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at the intersection of Sixth and Washington streets, Brainerd, near the Sawmill Inn.
Vigil participants will meet at the vigil site. Signs are available for participants or they may bring signs. Climate justice vigil and meeting participants are required to wear masks and practice social distancing.
The climate justice vigil will be in solidarity with climate justice protests internationally in September.
The Brainerd Lakers United for the Environment will meet 6:30 p.m. downstairs in the Brainerd United Church of Christ Fellowship Hall, 415 Juniper St., Brainerd, near Gregory Park.
In the event bad weather forces the climate justice vigil to be canceled, the meeting will be in the UCC Fellowship Hall at 6:30 p.m.
