The rescheduled Arts in the Park event set for Oct. 10 was canceled.
Due to recent events and circumstances outside of its control, the board of directors for Brainerd Community Action made the decision to cancel this year’s Arts in the Park event in its entirety, a news release stated.
“We are grateful to the city of Brainerd and their parks department for working with us to create a safety plan and a version of the event we all felt could be held with everyone’s health in mind. However, with new requests coming from the state of Minnesota and some hesitation within our vendor community, we have decided it is best to turn our efforts to 2021,” stated Community Action Executive Director Dave Badeaux in the release.
Next year’s event will take place the Sunday before the Fourth of July, rain or shine.
”Brainerd Community Action would like to say thank you to everyone who has made Arts in the Park so special over the last decades and to thank you for your interest and commitment to the arts. We look forward to seeing you all again next summer,” Badeaux stated.
