Several surfacing construction projects are set to begin Monday on Crosby area county roads.
The Crow Wing County Highway Department has entered into a contract with Anderson Brothers Construction for bituminous surfacing on the following: County Highway 30 from Highway 210 to County Highway 32, County Highway 31 from Highway 210 to County Highway 30, County Highway 32 from Highway 210 to the Aitkin County line, County Highway 34 from Nightengale Avenue to County Highway 30, and Iron Hub Road from Lost Long Lake Road to County Highway 32.
Construction work is scheduled to begin Monday with removal of bituminous pavement at centerline culvert replacement locations. Culvert removal and replacement operations will begin Tuesday on County Highway 30 followed by County Highway 31 and County Highway 34. Culvert replacement is expected to take 10 working days.
Weather permitting, mainline paving operations will begin the week of April 25 and continue through May 20. The exact starting point for paving operations has not been determined at this time. Traffic will be controlled with flaggers and a pilot car as needed. Expect delays and use caution while traveling through the construction zone. All construction operations are scheduled to be completed by June 1.
