The Brainerd Fire Department was called at 7:33 a.m. Monday to the 5000 block of Birchdale Road for a report of a large fire. Firefighters investigated and determined it to be a controlled burn.
Fire calls were quiet Tuesday and over the weekend. Friday the only call was at 9:45 p.m. of a water flow alarm on the 500 block of College Drive. Firefighters investigated and turned over the investigation to alarm company for maintenance.
