The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is temporarily closing its Gull Lake Dam and Recreation Area boat ramp.
The Corps announced Friday it was closing the boat ramp, commonly referred to as the government point boat access, and that it expects the ramp to be closed through the end of the month.
The Corps' contractor will remove debris and trees that were damaged during the July 12 storm, the announcement said. The boat ramp will be reopened once the storm damage has been removed.
