County Highway 45 from County Road 117 (Thiesse Road) to Highway 210 (Washington Street) is transitioning to the final phase of construction.

The detour signing and barricades will be removed the week of July 18 once final paving is completed, a news release stated.

Although the entire segment will be open to traffic once signing and barricades are removed, painting, final restoration and touchup work will be completed during the next two weeks. Single lane traffic or lane shifts may occur at times to complete this work.

"Please be alert and drive slowly through this work zone from Thiesse Road to Washington Street," the release stated. "The county highway department and construction personnel thanks the public for its patience and understanding through this construction project."

Those with questions or concerns about the final construction may contact the Crow Wing County Highway Department at 218-824-1110.
