County Highway 45 (13th Street Southeast) from County Road 117 (Thiesse Road) to Highway 210 (Washington Street) is transitioning to the next phase of construction.
The first phase of 13th Street Southeast from Oak Street to Washington Street is now open to traffic.
Starting Monday, the second phase will close 13th Street Southeast from Willow Street to Oak Street. The detour route will utilize Willow Street, Ninth Street, Broadway Street, Eighth Street and Oak Street. Access to Erickson's Greenhouse will be on 12th Street Southeast. Follow the Erickson's Greenhouse business detour signs, a news release stated.
This segment will be closed to through traffic for about the next month to replace underground sanitary and storm sewer at seven separate locations. Removals at all of the locations will occur immediately. Replacement of the sewer will occur over the month of June from Oak Street to Willow Street. Traffic can expect conditions similar to the construction that recently occurred north of Oak Street.
