Crow Wing County will host a public information meeting on its Americans with Disabilities Act transition plan.

The event will be 6-8 p.m. Sept. 14 in the large conference room at the Crow Wing County Highway Department, 16589 County Road 142, Brainerd.

The transition plan was compiled to provide residents with information about ADA and to ensure highway department facilities are accessible to all individuals, a news release stated. Among the topics to be discussed are the ADA itself, curb ramps, truncated domes, tactile paving, compliant versus non-compliant ramps, ramp types, accessible pedestrian signals and the highway department improvement schedule.

Questions and comments will be accepted from the public at the meeting.
